I was born in the Dutch province of Zeeland with parents from Amsterdam, and I attended the Free school (Waldorf/Steiner education) in Middelburg. This school allowed me to pay a lot of attention to creative subjects. I also painted a lot at home. Back in the day, my mother even allowed me to paint on the walls; It was the 70’s and children were not to be interrupted in their creative development in any way or form, such was the public opinion, and I enjoyed this privilege to the greatest of my abilities.
However, I studied to become a nurse and beautician. But next to the busy family life I still continued to follow courses and can often be found painting and sculpting deep into the late night hours, because that is really what I want to do; create sculptures as an artist.
